drfindr.info keeps on growing

We are continuing to add new practitioners to drfindr.info (soon to be the world's largest healthcare directory) everyday. We hope to make this the most convenient and efficient healthcare directory in the world. Boy-is it tough entering all those names!

Recurring Appointments now standard with Drviewer.com

We are happy to have launched recurring appointment capability for DrViewer.com. Now office staff can easily add recurring appointment openings through the convenience of a web browser. This allows patients to find suitable doctor and dentist appointment openings online and in real time, in web time!! One small step for DrViewer.com, but a large step for patients and pracitioners.

Appointment Scheduling Just Added

We are proud to announce that DrViewer.com has just added appointment scheduling capability!

So, not only can patients find a provider more easily, but they can also conveniently schedule doctor and dentist appointments online now through DrViewer.com.

For doctors and dentists, this means that you can selectively make some of your open appointments available for online booking. Additionally, patients get reminders sent them to increase show up rates. Another win for patients AND providers. If you're a doctor or dentist, please check us out at www.DrViewer.com, and we hope you sign up-we are offering the service for free at this time.

DrViewer goes production

Finally, after months of a successful prototype test, we have decided to release a production version of DrViewer for our practice and several colleagues. Take Dr. Pat Morhun, M.D. , a very busy cataract surgeon in Claremont and Lebanon, New Hampshire (I think THE busiest in New Hampshire), who has chosen DrViewer.com to put a forward facing site for his thriving cataract surgery, glaucoma, and botox practice that has served his patients so well for so many years. You can check him out at morhun.drviewer.com. DrViewer lets patients find and research providers that they would like to see. It also gives providers unprecedented and customizable web visibility. Imagine-free websites for doctors. We hope to start adding more practices in the weeks to come. See why successful eye surgeons like Dr. Patrick Morhun, M.D. choose DrViewer for their web needs. More features coming soon to www.DrViewer.com. Stay tuned!

Unbreakable Encryption

I read this cool article yesterday on 'unbreakable encryption' using data transmitted along an optical fiber. I still don't understand if the the encryption is unbreakable or if the real issue is that undetectable eavesdropping becomes impossible. Apparently the very act of eavesdropping would interfere with the optical beam being transmitted-kind of reminds me of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Prinicple and Observer Effect-where any interference in a quantum system alters its natural state. I just always wonder when someone describes crypto as 'unbreakable'. We humans can be very crafty.

Marathon again?

Since I got into running in L.A. in the late 90's, I have thought [on and off] about running a marathon. Today, after setting up this blog, I checked to see if there was time to run the Chicago Marathon, but with 5 days left and nothing more than a 10 mile run under my belt, I thought it would be better to hold off. So, in order to save face by making this public, then I will have to run the San Francisco marathon next year. There! I said it.
